COMETS NAME STIMULUS ATHLETIC OFFICIAL TEAM UNIFORM PARTNER

by Jeff Husted

KANSAS CITY (Nov. 8, 2018) – The Kansas City Comets unveiled the Official 2018-2019 kit today, created by Stimulus Athletic, the team’s Official Uniform Partner. Comets’ partners Domino’s Pizza and North Kansas City Hospital will once again be featured on the team’s uniforms throughout the season.

Breaking from the classic rainbow-striped uniforms of the past couple of seasons, the 2018-2019 jersey will feature the classic Comets colors in a fading checkerboard pattern from the bottom of the jersey.

Although relatively new to the Major Arena Soccer League, Stimulus has a history with the Comets and arena soccer through Geison Moura, the company’s founder. Moura played for the Comets from 2010-2011 through 2011-2012 season and then briefly in 2014, scoring 49 goals and 22 assists in his Kansas City career.

“Once you’re a member of the Comets family, you are always a member of the family,” said Director of Marketing and Communications Jeff Husted. “Geison came to us last year with some ideas and concepts and we’ve been working on putting together this concept that marries the classic Comets style with a new and fresh concept.”

I feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity to play for such an iconic franchise,” said Moura. “Now to be the Official Uniform Provider is a dream come true.”

The Official Comets kit and replica kits by Stimulus will be available for purchase online and at Comets games throughout the season.

Fans can catch the new gear in action as the team opens up the 2018-2019 campaign on December 1, 2018 at the Milwaukee Wave, and for their Home Opener at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on December 15, 2018 at 7:05 p.m. CT.

Single-game and season tickets are now available to fans for all 12 home games at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. For more information visit KCComets.com or call 888.9.COMETS.
