KANSAS CITY (Feb. 10, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League announced today that Comets midfielder Vahid Assadpour was named the Player of the Week for Week 15. Assadpour led the way for the Comets as they earned their seventh straight win and held onto the top spot in the Central Division. Assadpour had two goals and two assists in the winning effort.

This is the first Player of the Week honor for Kansas City’s captain, but it is the fourth time a Comet has been the league’s top player. Stephen Paterson earned the award in week three and six and Alain Matingou earned his in week twelve.

The Comets put their streak on the line tomorrow as they return home to the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena to face the Dallas Sidekicks on at 7:05p.m. CT. The Comets will be celebrating their annual Pink Night with special jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit The Ali Kemp Foundation.
