2015/16 MASL Season: Rodriguez re-joined the Comets after starring with the Jacksonville Armada of the NASL. He played in all 20 games for the Comets, with 19 goals and 9 assists.

Lucas was originally born in Buenos Aries, Argentina and then moved to Lenexa, Kan. when he was 11 years old. He spilt college career between Johnson County Community College and Mid-America Nazarene University (MNU). In 2009, he led MNU to a Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship (HAAC) and was named the HAAC Most Valuable Player. Following college, Rodriguez signed to play outdoors with NSC Minnesota (now Minnesota United) of the National American Soccer League (NASL) where he amassed 61 appearances and 7 goals in his four season with the team. Rodriguez was also one of the original players from the Comets revival in 2010. After playing in 20 games his first season, he had 19 points and earned the Rookie of the Year award for the Major Indoor Soccer League. Rodriguez would keep putting up impressive numbers for the Comets throughout the next two seasons. In the 2011-2012 season, he had 36 points including nine 2-point goals. Last season, he played in every game for the Comets and had 32 points and 61 shots.
