KANSAS CITY COMETS KICK OFF HOLIDAY WEEKEND AGAINST MILWAUKEE WAVE

KANSAS CITY (December 21, 2017) – The Kansas City Comets host long-time rival, the Milwaukee Wave on Friday night. This is already the third meeting of the season between these two teams. Milwaukee picked up wins in Kansas City on November 12th and again in Milwaukee on December 1st.

The Comets are returning home for the first time since December 8th when they defeated the Tacoma Stars 7-5 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Since then, the team has suffered two straight losses to the Cedar Rapids Rampage.

The team has had to adjust to playing without several key players who were lost to injury, including defenders Stefan Stokic and Alvi Beltran and midifielder Tanner Hunjak.

Kansas City has added a couple players since their last meeting with the Wave. Goalkeeper Steven Hamersky and defenders Cody Hoffman and James Togbah joined the team over the last couple of weeks.

The Milwaukee Wave are one of two MASL teams that remain undefeated in this season. Midfielder Ian Bennett leads the way for Milwaukee. His 20 goals and 26 points are not only the best on his team, but they lead the league as well.

Just behind him on the Wave’s leaderboard are forwards Robert Renaud (12g, 10a, 22pts) and Max Ferdinand  (8g, 12a, 20pts).

Friday’s game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are still available here. Fans can also watch the game live on MASL.tv or KCComets.com/live-feed
