GOALKEEPER BORIS PARDO NAMED TO THE MASL TEAM OF THE WEEK – WEEK SEVENTEEN

Forward Max Touloute received an Honorable Mention

INDEPENDENCE (Feb. 16, 2016) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today its Team of the Week – Week Seventeen. Missouri Comets goalkeeper Boris Pardo earned his first honors of the season, while midfielder Max Touloute received an honorable mention.

Both players had stellar performances on Sunday when the Comets earned a solid 7-2 road victory against the Milwaukee Wave. Pardo recorded 11 saves and held Milwaukee’s offense to only two goals. Touloute scored a hat trick.

GK – Boris Pardo, Missouri Comets: Held the Milwaukee Wave to only two goals by recording 11 saves and climb to second place in the league standings with a .709 save percentage and a 4.69 GAA.

D – Victor Quiroz, San Diego Sockers: Recorded two assists for the San Diego Sockers and had four blocks against the Tacoma Stars on Thursday night.

D – Adam West, Tacoma Stars: Totaled three goals and one assist in two games for the Tacoma Stars against San Diego and Sonora.

M – Freddy Moojen, St. Louis Ambush: Scored four goals for the Ambush in the 10-7 win over Cedar Rapids at the U.S. Cellular Center.

M – Tiguinho Dias, Ontario Fury: Posted a hat trick, scoring three goals, all in the first half, helping the Fury build a 5-1 halftime lead en route to the 9-3 win.

F – Franck Tayou, Soles de Sonora: League leader Franck Tayou added six more points to his name with five goals and an assist for Sonora in the 15-10 victory over Tacoma.
