Colin Weaver, Managing Partner

Colin grew up among the mountains of Alaska, attended a boarding high school in chaparral of California, and lived abroad studying international development for two-plus months each in Ecuador, China, India, South Africa, and Egypt. As an adult he has lived in Chicago, Oakland and is excited to now make Kansas City his home. After completing undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Chicago, he later completed the University of San Francisco’s sport management master’s program to transform his life-long passion for sports into expertise in the sports business world.


Scott Levinson, Vice-President

Scott is a graduate of the University of Kansas, and his entire career has been in marketing and promotions, spending the first nine years of his career as Marketing Director for the Kansas and Western Missouri Hooters Restaurant franchise. Scott then went on to become Marketing and Promotions Director for Sports Radio 810 WHB, putting on some of the biggest events for the station, including the Jim Rome Tour Stop. Growing up, Scott was a huge Comets fan, and was honored to be able to help bring back the thrill and excitement of professional indoor soccer to Kansas City in 2010. Scott played high school soccer at Shawnee Mission South, and still plays indoor soccer every Tuesday night.


Jeff Husted, Director of Marketing and Communications

Jeff was part of the staff that helped to relaunch the Comets in 2010. He has worked in the Kansas City sports scene since 2006 with the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, Kansas City Royals Radio, and FC Kansas City, in addition to the Comets. Jeff has consulted with professional teams and leagues across the country.
Jeff grew up in Denver, Colorado but now lives in Olathe with his wife and two kids. In his spare time he enjoys watching his daughter’s volleyball games and coaching his son’s soccer games.


Mike Rodriguez, Account Executive

MikeMichael is from Kansas City and his passion is coaching soccer in the community for 14 years with the Blackfire soccer club based in Lee’s Summit. Michael has been involved in the sports community as a Kansas City Chiefs Red Coater since 1989. During that time he was inducted in to the NFL Hall of Fame thru Visa Hall of Fans in 2000 as the #1 Chiefs Fan. From 1999 to 2005 Michael was an account executive for the Kansas City Wizards. He accomplished being the #1 sales rep for the MLS. In 2006 Michael worked for the Kansas City Brigade during their inaugural season. Michael is currently living in Lee’s Summit with his wife and family.


Brent Garrison, Account Executive

Brent has worked in the Kansas City sports scene since 2012 with the Kansas City Comets, FC Kansas City, KC Command and most recently as Retail and E-Commerce Coordinator at Sporting Kansas City. Brent grew up in Kansas City and still resides in the Northland.  He attended Missouri State University and played on the baseball team.  Brent and his wife Nicole have two daughters Charlotte and Scarlett who both enjoy sports and love coming to watch the Kansas City Comets games!


Nick Vasos, Voice of the Comets

Nick has been the voice of indoor soccer for decades. He mans the booth at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena for every Comets home game, describing each play and giving his insight about the many great players who have come through the arena through the years. You know you’re listening to Nick Vasos on the mic when you hear ‘Ding Dong” after a shot rings off the post or “Top Shelf where Grandma keeps the cookies” after a great goal. Nick can also be seen every morning on Fox 4 Kansas City as he anchors the 9am and Noon broadcasts.

Steve Serrano, Game Day Emcee

Steve Serrano, one of the hardest working men in Kansas City Media, has been the Game Day Emcee for the Comets since 2012. Steve can be found at every game walking the concourse, chatting it up with Calvin or hosting a fan contest between periods. Steve is also the Program Director for Mix 93.3 and hosts the interactive night show weeknights from 7pm to midnight.
