The Comets opened their season at home against the much-improved Rampage. Behind two goals from head coach/player Hewerton, the Rampage surprised their hosts with three 4th quarter goals to win 5-3.

On Sunday, the Comets host the Baltimore Blast in a rematch of the past two Eastern Division Championships. The Comets are also happy to host the annual ‘Salute to Service game. The Baltimore Blast sit on top of the MASL’s Eastern Conference and are a game and a half up on the rest of their division. They are currently on a two-game winning streak after dispatching their division rival Florida Tropics in two straight games.

Forward Tony Donatelli leads the team with 12 points (4G, 8A). William Vanzela has started all four games for the Blast and leads the league in Goals Against Average.

At halftime Sunday, the Comets have partnered with the Cars 4 Heroes program to reward a special and deserving veteran with a car. The team is also honored to witness a special Armed Forces Swearing-In Ceremony during the break.

Fans are invited to watch Saturday’s game at a special Fan-Hosted Watch Party at Coach’s Bar & Grill on 103rd & Wornall. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
