COMETS HOST CENTRAL DIVISION RIVAL MILWAUKEE WAVE

KANSAS CITY (November 10, 2017) – The Kansas City Comets 2017-2018 season continues when they host the Milwaukee Wave this Sunday at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The latest iteration of the Major Arena Soccer League’s (MASL) greatest rivalry is set to kick off at 5:05 p.m. CT.

The Comets head into their second game of the season after a thrilling victory last week against the St. Louis Ambush. Newly named team captain Bryan Perez led all Comets scorers with four points (2 goals, 2 assists). Altogether, seven different players scored for Kansas City, including two each from Perez, Nacho Flores and Leo Gibson.

The Milwaukee Wave come to Kansas City with two games already under their belts. After opening the season with an overtime win against the Tacoma Stars, they defeated the Cedar Rapids Rampage at home last weekend.

This exciting matchup features two of the most explosive offenses in the MASL. The Wave are led by the dangerous duo of Ian Bennett and Max Ferdinand. Bennett leads his team (and the MASL) with six goals, while Ferdinand leads his side with four assists.

The Comets return all-time leading scorer Leo Gibson, who scored two goals in the fourth quarter to help Kansas City pull away and seal their win.

The Comets have faced the Milwaukee Wave more than any other team since returning to action in 2010. In 28 regular season matches, the Comets hold a slight edge with 15 wins against 13 losses.

Sunday’s match kicks off at 5:05 p.m. CT. Tickets are still available here
