COMETS CONFIDENT AT HOME AS THEY CONTINUE PLAYOFF PURSUIT

The Kansas City Comets return home for the first time since soundly defeating the Harrisburg Heat on January 13th.

GAME NOTES – Comets vs Rampage

The Comets lost a pair of games last weekend in their two-game road to the Baltimore Blast and the Florida Tropics.

Despite those losses, the Comets are still in the thick of the playoff hunt. The top two teams in the Central Division qualify for the postseason and the Comets are currently only two and a half games behind the Rampage for that second spot.

The Comets have scored 35 goals in their last four games, nearly 9 goals per game. This offensive effort comes at the right time as the Comets hope to push towards their eighth straight playoff appearance.

Cedar Rapids snapped a four-game losing streak last week, but the team has dropped five of their past seven games. The team has a slightly different look since they last faced the Comets.

The team added Victor France from St Louis, but has lost Taylor Walter Bond and Pablo de Silva to trades. Ante Cop has also replaced Johnathan Greenfield as head coach

The Comets will host the Cedar Rapids Rampage this Sunday, January 28 at 5:05 p.m. CT for Star Wars Night. Richey is expected to make his Comets debut in that match. The first 1,000 fans at Sunday’s match will receive a free Comets Star Wars T-Shirt.

Tickets for Star Wars Night on January 28th are available here.
