KANSAS CITY (Feb. 22, 2017) – For the seventh straight season, the Kansas City Comets have qualified for the postseason. The Comets and the Major Arena Soccer League announced the team will open their 2017 playoff run against the Milwaukee Wave on March 9th at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena at 7:35 p.m. CT.

Game two of the Central Division Championship will be on Sunday, March 12th at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena at 2:05 p.m. CT.

The MASL postseason consists of three rounds, the Divisional Championships, the Conference Championships and the Ron Newman Cup Championships. Teams in each round will play a home-and-home series. This is also the seventh straight season the Comets and Wave will face off in the postseason tournament. Kansas City has an 8-6 record against Milwaukee in the playoffs, including series wins in each of the past four years.

The Comets close out the regular season this Sunday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. against the Cedar Rapids Rampage. A win on Sunday could clinch the regular season Central Division title for the Comets and at least the #2 overall seed in the playoffs.
